If you’ve trained with us recently, you’ve probably already spent some time at Soccer 5 SnoCo. Now we’re making the relationship a little more official. Lair Athletics and Soccer 5 SnoCo are partnering to create more opportunities for goalkeepers and soccer players in the Woodinville and Snohomish County area. And honestly, this one just makes sense.
More Than Just Field Space
When we first started training at Soccer 5, the relationship was pretty simple. We needed quality indoor space, and they had a facility that worked really well for what we do. But as Lair Athletics has grown, and Soccer 5 has completed their build and grand opening, so has what we’re able to offer.
We’re running weekly goalkeeper training, private sessions, small groups, camps, clinics, film work, and events. Having a reliable indoor home gives us more flexibility to keep training throughout the fall and winter, especially when the Northwest weather decides it has other plans. The bigger goal, though, is not just renting a field. We want to build something useful for the soccer community.
What the Partnership Looks Like
You’ll continue seeing Lair Athletics training regularly at Soccer 5, including our Friday goalkeeper sessions. We’re also working together on future camps, goalkeeper events, Keeper Wars, additional training opportunities, and ways to connect local teams and organizations with quality indoor field space.
There’s another piece I’m excited about too. As a West Coast Goalkeeping retail partner, we’re exploring ways to make goalkeeper gloves and gear more accessible directly through Soccer 5. Basically, more goalkeeper stuff under one roof. Hard to argue with that.
A Partnership That Started Early
One thing that makes this partnership pretty cool is that we started working together while Soccer 5 SnoCo was still getting established. Their team shared this with us:
“Lair Athletics was the very first long-term partner to believe in our vision here at Soccer 5 SnoCo. From day one, Dorian, and his coaching staff have brought world-class training and top-notch athletes to our fields.”
- Phil Blomberg, Owner at Soccer 5 Snoco
They also gave us the opportunity to host Keeper Wars during their Grand Opening in August, which gave local goalkeepers a chance to compete, have some fun, and show off a position that usually does not get enough attention. That event gave us a pretty good preview of what we can build together.
What’s Next
For us, partnerships should actually create something. More places to train, more opportunities to compete, more access to quality coaching, more events, and more resources for goalkeepers and families. That is what we’re working toward with Soccer 5.
You’ll see more from both of us over the next few months. Until then, we’ll be where we usually are, on the field.
Dedicated to the goalkeeper. See you in goal.
